About the Artist

Jean has been drawing and painting since she was 4 years old. She currently paints in oil and watercolor. The majority of her paintings feature flowers in their natural state, although she occasionally does landscapes and animals. She has recently expanded into fused glass vessels and pendants, silver and enameled jewelry and enamel collages. The common thread in her varied work is her use of vibrant colors.

Jean's florals and still lifes have won her awards and recognition locally. Her paintings have been accepted into a National Juried Art Exhibition and displayed at Palm Beach International Airport as part of Palm Beach County's "Art in Public Places". She accepts commissions when they play to her strengths and expertise. She has studied with Florida painters Nancy Tilles, Kathleen Wobie and Linda Blondheim, and with nationally-recognized enamelists Linda Darty, Steve Artzt and Don Viehman.
